Hello, again!

I've decided to dust off the cobwebs and start up the ol' blog again!

Life has definitely changed since I wrote last. My last two posts were to friends congratulating them on the births of their children - there really should have been another post annoucing the birth of our own son! So, here it is: WELCOME TO THE WORLD, BABY TAYGAN! Only, he's not so much a baby anymore. He's a very active 15 month old. My announcement here is a little late, but he does have his own website that was updated until he turned 1. I've now decided to post here about our life - not just about Taygan and how he's growing and learning, but about everything in our little world. Although, chances are, most of the posts will likely be about Taygan. I know that comes as no surprise! :)

Its a quiet Sunday afternoon at the Klug house. Taygan is napping, Dean is doing homework, and here I am. Earlier today we were at the mall - guess who else was there! SANTA! We thought it was a bit early for a Santa picture, but there was no line so we thought we may as well let Taygan have a visit. I walked up, said Hi to Santa, plopped Taygan down on Santa's lap and walked away quickly so the picture could be taken. As soon as I turned away Taygan started bawling! Poor kid! It honestly didn't even cross my mind that he would be scared. It was Santa - we were going to get the cutest picture. Duh. I sat my baby on a stranger's lap and walked away expecting him to smile for the camera! Instead, of course, we now have a 5X7 picture of a smiley Santa with a red faced, crying, baby boy on his lap! Not what I imagined, but still a keeper!

Well, better start making dinner. Glad to be back.

Wow... It's been a while!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Almost a year has passed since my last post. Most of you reading this (is there anyone reading this?) shouldn't be surprised. If you know me, you know that my attentions are not concentrated on one thing for very long. It's not that I have an attention deficit problem; I just get bored easily. My own blog was boring me, so it must have been putting others to sleep!

Some has happened since I last worte. Most prominently, I guess, is the new job. My last day at Hell-co was March 31, 2006 - and my first day at Spartan was April 3, 2006. I have been enjoying my new position as a Project Administator. The work is completely different than anything I've done before, and there is lots to learn. There is oppurtunity to grow in the job.... hopefully I can find something I really love to do.

Congrats to Jackie and Blair! Due in Febuary and expecting a baby! :)

Congrats to Scott and Trish! Due in March and also expecting a baby! :)

We have been snowboarding again this winter. Dean has become a superstar! As for me... well, I am somewhat short of a star - but having a blast!

I'm sure there is much, much more I could write, but I think I will leave it at this and try to write more often.

P.S. Happy belated birthday, Mikey! How are those theres and yours coming along?

What should I be when I grow up....

I have been trying to figure out for some time now what type of career or life path I should take. I want to wake up in the morning and be excited about what my day might bring. I have no idea where to start. I have been told to look at my hobbies and passions and decide on a career that encompasses them, but the trouble is I don't have much for a hobby or a passion. I've thought about aptitude testing, but I'm not sure I would get the right the answers. Hmmmmm..... any suggestions??? Where to start? How to decide?

Happy birthday dear Mikey,
Happy birthday to you!

I hope your birthday sushi is great - and the following year is even better!
Make it your goal this year to learn the difference between your and you're, and there, their and they're! It'll be a gift to yourself!

Re: Snowboarding Loser 11/06/05

First, read my post from November 6th of last year.

We went snowboarding out at Lake Louise for the weekend. It was my first time this season, and I didn't go much after I wrote that post last November. I don't think my duck is any less drunk. Even after 4 hours of lessons. What is wrong with me? I really do want to be able to ride down the mountain without falling on my ass 27 times. I have bruises covering probably 90% of my body! I did have fun, even with the falling. I laughed a lot and learned a little.
