Half Assed Christmas Tree

It was December 1st. I wanted a tree so bad. I bought a tree at 10 pm.
I came home and promptly set it up. I started to put on the first of 400 lights. There must be many lights. One light for every branch....
This takes forever.
I'm bored.

Funny Guy... Ooops I Mean Girl

Marlow and I went to see a play at the Jubilations theatre tonight. It was a musical comedy called "Canadian Disco Idol". Quite funny. Not only the play, but the whole experience. The actors from the play are also the servers, and there are other servers dressed in the disco, 70's theme. One of them had me try on his big purple furry coat and parade around with him. The funniest was this hunched over Cheech looking guy who asked me if he could take away my 'crappy soup'. Marlow and I laughed a lot about that.... At the end of the play, the manager asked us to fill out our comment cards. Marlow wanted to compliment the Cheech guy, so she asked another server what his name was. She described him. "Oh, that's not a guy. That's a girl."
I wish I had a picture of him in character and then her out of character. It was so hilarious. 'Crappy Soup'. Hahahahah.... I'm still laughing. Ha.

Same Thing All The Time

Damn Hell-co.

I agreed to take a postion in a different department for the Christmas season after haggling with the department lead that my days off could change, as long as I would receive early shifts on Sundays and Mondays.

Sounds like no problem, right?

If you said 'RIGHT!' then you do not know Hell-co.

Yesterday I got my schedule for next week, my first week in the new department. My shift on Monday ends at 7:30. Volleyball starts at - oh look - 7:30. My shift on Sunday ends at 6:30. Bowling starts at - yep, you guessed it - 6:30.

Grrrrrrrrrr..... And I took a pay cut to put up with this crap.

Cleo the Cat

So, my brother calls me over two months ago. He wants to know if I can do his friend a favor. "You see," he says, "my old house mate is moving out of town and he needs a place for his cat to stay. Temporarily, of course." Piper had just recently moved into our house, so I explained to Christin that I just couldn't do it, with the new puppy and all. Not to mention the fact that we already have two cats that run the house. "But, Beckie, he has no where else for her to go. Just let me give him your number and the two of you can talk about it." Now, my brother can be very persuasive. So, rather than listen to his begging I just said ok. To make a long story a little shorter - I talk to Christin's friend - Cleo the cat came to stay with us. And then she stayed a little longer. And she stayed and stayed. She is still here! And I have yet to talk to her owner again! The poor cat is so afraid of my bossy, bitchy, bully pets that she stays in the basement! She is so sweet, I wish she would come out and make her self at home. But, she doesn't. She is the cat under the stairs.

Frustrated

I want to yell at someone, but there is no-one to yell at.

Time takes too long. I hear that time helps, but it is too slow.

Sheesh. One day back at work and I am burnt out. How pathetic.

I truly forgot how badly that place can make my brain go numb. I'm quite sure that at least half my brain cells have died because of the job I have had for the last 7 years. I must be entitled to some kind of retribution. Where's my employee handbook???

Tomorrow is the day. I have to return to Hellco. I know I don't really have to say this, but here it is anyway; I don't wanna!!!!! I guess it won't be so bad... oh, who am I kidding? It is gonna be bad. Wish me luck. Think of me. I hope I make it through. Heh...

On my way to Vegas!

I just finished booking my trip to Las Vegas for Jackie and Blair's wedding in March. Woo hoo! Now all I have to do is save my pennies so that I can keep up with them! Those two are gambling maniacs... Its gonna be a good time! Can't wait!

Snowboarding Loser

Wow... Today was my second attempt at snowboarding. Dean and I went yesterday, and then Marlow, Dean and I went today. I am soooooo bad. Unbelievably, horribly, terribly bad. I guess I can only get better. But, what if I don't? If you know me, you may have already guessed; I now OWN a snowboard, boots, a season pass. We went all out. Its alright for Marlow and Dean; they are learning very quickly. But me?? I look like a drunk duck with no sense of direction out there! I better shape up. What an embarrassment. Dean says; "Don't worry, hunny. You just have to work on your motor skills. " Huh? Wasn't I supposed to be done with that by the age of six?

Blog? What's a Blog?

Well, I'm not really sure why I decided to create a 'Blog'. Perhaps I will think of extremely witty words to post; perhaps not. At the very least I can write about my fun filled days.... Oh, right, I go back to Hell-co on Tuesday. Probably wont be much fun going on there...

Dean leaves for Korea on Sunday, so I will post here so he can easily read what I am up to. Frolicking about while he is slaving away... hahahaha...
